The Problem

The problem is my eyes are red

But they're dry and they burn

It's not from smoking

It's from countless hours without sleep

The problem is I can't walk straight

But my leg hurts, and I can see just fine

It's not from drinking

It's from countless hours without sleep

The problem is my back is sore

But it's a sharp and dull pain

The call it a pinched nerve

It has no good memory attached

It's from countless hours without sleep

The problem is I can't feel anything

It's dark, I'm empty, in pain

It's not from sadness

It's not from drinking

It's what causes the nights without sleep.
