Process to Heal

Although the pain could become too much I never became sensitive to the touch.

This wasn’t a bruise any of you could see, it was festering deep inside of me.

My soul wept out needing to be loved.

I didn’t want a simple kiss or meaningless hug.

Sometimes I thought it was something about me.

I was being punished! Lord, why me?

Those test and trials only came to make me strong.

They helped me be me. They helped me to move on.
