Procrastination

There you are amongst your toil

Hunched over white paper and black ink

Burning the midnight oil

Water rests set to boil

To keep awake you blink

Burning the midnight oil

Snapping back from your doyle

“Get back to work” you think

Burning the midnight oil

Nevertheless here you coil

Beneath thick covers, dreaming on the brink

Burning the midnight oil
