An expert dressed in appropriate attire

Carrying themselves in such a way

Articulating words with care

Is it necessary for success?

Most will say yes

But what happens when

A professional is heartened

Is moved, hurt, or passionate?

These emotions can only be so dehumanized

A human feels; a human defends

An expert feels; an expert does not defend

It is a fine line

Between human and professional

A professional is a human

Who is asked to leave themselves at the door

If I, as a professional, had the opportunity

I would invite the humans to come to work one day
