Professor In Training

I sit in the classroom

Pondering who my professor is

Trying to remember

That they're not locked in the school at night

I force myself to think that

They too have a life, have family

What made them choose this path?

To teach us how to think, to take on this task

Is it because they've lost hope in Society and they're despertly trying to save it?

Or is it because they wish to connect and pass on their knowledge?

What makes you tick?

I sit here and wonder

Do I have what it takes?

To do what they do?

Day after day?
