Professor's Number

Hello You

You there in the front

I am your student

Just one of the bunch

I am a number

To you it seems

A mere blip

A figure that occupies this seat

A mass

You see, is what I am

Floating about

No more than a gram

Why? I ask

Am I disregarded

As just another

Weed in the Garden

The World

I do not ask of you

Treat me as a person

Not the number 2

Consideration I ask

I beg and plead

Or have you forgotten?

You were once me!
