Progress
Once trapped and fettered
in a cycle of injustice, unfairness, and spite.
Now freed
and able to taste the light of equality
wishing for a future more optimistic than bleak.
Yet not all have adapted to this new thinking.
Only some have conformed to the new norm.
Some still wish to attack others
in the most deceitful, cunning, and ignominous manner possible.
A right is a right
but it is unlike a liberty
A right is not natural
and must be attained through a fight
that is neither simple nor easy
but one that is fruitful,
providing a feeling of accomplishment and
a win.
