Progress Talked Me Out Of It

I've been walking for hours trying to find the tree that i know from my front yard,

I've made circles on the sidewalk, and I broke the window from the rock i threw at your car,

Strawberry scents from your lips, I'd digress, but the poison's to strong, this just doesnt fit

I get where it comes from, the genes running though your blood, but they look more like the

jeans you left in the flood, and i say to myself "what does she know?", shes got it all figured out

on her own

what does your mother think of you?

what does your father think of you?

now you're self medicating on your floor

and you didn't even say a word when you walked out the door
