Progression

I've learned how to speak and to stand on my own two feet

I've grown to believe in the unseen and have hope in all, not just me

I look up to others, people who have changed and found their faith

Look down on all those who throw themselves away

Who never desire any sort of change

Feel sorry for those who really try but cannot ever succeed

In their state of mind they could use a friend rather than an enemy

So a friend to you I will be and I will stand by your side

While everyone else stealthily walks by

With that familiar look of hate in their wondering eyes.
