Progression of War
One man, one nation,
Mistreated to bitterness’ end.
Arms are taken up.
Power lusting men,
and ageless discrimination.
Arms are taken up.
Visions captured by peace,
and hearts pleading for rest.
Arms are taken up.
The first blood was spilt,
Much weeping, then anger.
Arms are taken up.
To avenge fallen comrades,
To end the tyrants reign.
Arms are taken up.
Countries smell of death,
Of burnt flesh, decayed dreams.
Arms are taken up.
Starvation reigns,
masquerading as sacrifice.
Arms are taken up.
It needs to end! It must!
For land and liberty!
Arms are taken up.
Neither can nobly win,
Nor nobly lower their guns.
Arms are taken up.
No other end for those involved.
Can't stop. Cannot go on.
Arms are taken up.
