Promise

Location

Words said during warm summer days,

disappear as the first cold winter night breeze blows.

Therefore;

Make me a promise on a cold winter night,
For your real presence,
Is truly felt when a storm hits.

Will you hold an umbrella for me,

and walk side by side.
Or will you abandon me?

Make me a promise,

on a cold winter night.

So I know that no matter what,
You'll be my armor.
My protection.

Make me a promise,

on a cold winter night.

For those nights will be the hardest to get through,
yet the reason to our bond.

Make a promise,

on a cold winter night.

For keeping your word when things are rough,
Reassures me that you're worth the times of ease.

Make me a promise,

on a cold winter night.

For when I wake up to a bright day,

I'll be right beside you.

Thanking you.
Appreciating you.
Praying for you.
Loving you.
But most of all,
Making you promises on cold winter nights.
Forever. —
