A Promise In December

I'm a moth attracted to light,it's hard not to be attached

When my eyes met yours I see an imaginary world

My lips met yours and it's a fire within December

When I start to care is when trouble arises

Your hair, the wool kept me coming back

The fear and insecuritites rain on the parade, I'm scared you will look for shelter

The past has been an endless winter, I deserve my Summer

I promise I will go easy on you, I'm open to the possibilities

I promise to let the walls down and allow my river to flow through you

I pray you swim because I promise when you reach the surface the sun will shine
