Promises

Promises Ya know, those things you make just to break? The things that people hold onto when all else is gone The things made so easily, and broken easier If you only knew the things you’ve said The things you do, the things you hear They can change people, and end up changing those promises And send someone plummeting to their doom You said you would be here for me forever That you’d never leave me Where are you now, the moments I need you, you’re never here Another slip, another tumble, another nail in the coffin You’ve broken that promise The one that meant the world to me Guess I was nothing to you, just another depressed freak That’s ok, I’ve found something that I can always hold onto Something real, something permanent Something I can never take back Something that lets me crawl into a hole and disappear Something called Death, and he’s come for me

MVP-Most Valuable Poet
the meaning of promise is so easily broken as you pointed out good msg to it-i would say increase your vocabulary let it come to your mind naturally and as you write, it flows on its own keep writing and challenging yourself to be a greater writer

Pretty depressing, but not too much. You did a good job putting feeling into your words, it was as if you were saying them instead of trying to show off with vocabulary, which I find sometimes can take away from the power of the poem. I give it 2 stars :)
