Promises
Sometimes the harsh reality,
shows me what I cannot be.
Working so hard to get nowhere,
no joy of success to share.
To escape this world I grab a pen,
and jot down thougths and ideas, and then.
I write just to let go of the pain,
I lose the hate, but the happiness I gain.
I create a world where I can be,
an adventurer with only good to see.
A world where I succeed in all,
a head held high with a frame standing tall.
Time goes by and I lose myself,
but when I am done, I take a deep breath.
I reflect on the things in my writings that I do,
and promise myself that they WILL come true.
