Promises

Bombs falling,

children crying

each and every day

What have we become

to let this continue?

Let's tune into this hysteria.

Make them see their reflections

on the surface

of their victim's tears.

Pooled at their feet.

Maybe then they'll key in

to reality.

What if there's nothing more to do

than to just leave the souls drifting?

I won't let you drown in your tears.

I know you can't control yourself,

but it's time to come out of hiding.

Let's tune into this hysteria.

Make them see their reflections

on the surface

of their victim's tears.

Pooled at their feet.

Maybe then they'll key in

to reality.

So many lives wasted.

We'll fight like tomorrow

is promised

for those who have learned

to hope and trust.

Let's tune into this hysteria.
