Promises,Promises

Politics
You can be real dirty
Only we see your sanctimonious airs of supposed transparency.
Before the polls,
You make great promises of progress
You are the Moses, sent to save us
You're Josiah, you reform
Before the polls
Perpetuating propaganda slyly
Rigging to make right Pharoah's wrongs
Believe, believe! Believe in me"
You say.
We do, we don't. We've been here.
But hope dares to draw us to your side
Who knows? you could be different
After the polls
We're still where we are.
What can we say?
We saw it coming.
