Promising future

Volunteering at Pre-K,

On a Monday.

Kids are running and screaming,

My eyes are watching and gleaming.

The teacher tells them to now sit down,

Lian decides to cry and frown.

Some kids play and learn to share,

Little Sophia just cut her hair.

The day progresses and they sing songs,

But for some reason the day doesn’t feel long.

I think and think and think some more,

What am I waiting for?

Into the future I got a glance,

I have decided to take that chance.

Teaching at Pre-K,

Monday through Friday.
