A Proper Goodbye
Dear fatal love,
My clammy anxious palms trembled at my side.
As fast furious tears fell from my eyes,
For my heart became heavy and my lungs felt like weights.
I could barely breathe as my throat had slammed shut.
I stood above her frozen body, caressing her delicate hand,
Her pallid pale skin was frigid to the touch,
Her fragile face was filled with fear,
Wide eyes pierced through the thick and sticky air,
Numb and lifeless limbs laid on the silky smooth sheets; growing weaker
Emotions emerged and were thrown around my head—
Uneasy and restless were the feelings I showed, as I stared at her body.
Then it struck, a sudden seizure cursed those limbs, releasing the trance she was in
The shortness of my breathe continued to grow.
As I stood by her, I prayed for a proper goodbye
