The Prophecy
Did I truly create this vision I embraced, this scene,
Up in the clouds of sparkling dots, ethereal and clean?
Was I the solitary soul they banished and kept alone,
While everyone started treating me like an empty home of stone?
I worked to show myself as larger than the whole of the world's expanse,
A glorious structure set for my enduring, lasting dance.
But then the unexpected shock, the failure none could place,
And I would crumble like paper, leaving no sturdy trace.
Did I ever truly know that deep and boundless cosmic love,
A perfect star that shines for me from a true sky above?
And I am sitting here now, in silence, listing all things out,
The unexpected actions I swore I'd never bring about.
But the pace of flow was so cold, so swift and unforgiving,
That all the fears I carried began their chilling living.
Everything occurred that I never wished to see,
And here I am surviving in this cruel captivity.
The strange events that happened, now distant and far past,
Are like a sailor ship sold, where the luck will never last.
The desperate, urgent messages I kept locked, still unsend,
A secret history that waits and has no final end.
I am listing out things that would never, ever come to be,
Now chilling chapters in my unexpected history.
But the twist and the curls, the strange, chaotic flow,
Left me writing this prophecy, a bitter tale of woe.
And listing all the treasures I managed to call my own,
But somehow just lost it to my old self, like seeds that are un-sown.
And what is this verse? I cannot predict the coming tide,
Listing, listing out the pain that has nowhere left to hide.
Like I had lost my sleep, now driven to the brink,
I am blabbering things I do not have the time to think.
And waving a desperate palm at the faraway ship's mast,
So I deep sleep in this drowning sea, forgetting all my past.

Multiple interconnected ideas densely packed; existential questioning throughout
Strongly negative: despair, abandonment, failure, drowning, captivity dominate
Urgent, turbulent language; repetition drives intensity; frantic emotional pace
