Prophet of Prophets

O, prophets of God,

you are gifts to mankind,

bringing us to His Holy Throne,

bringing God’s Wisdom and Love,

bringing God’s eternal protection.

But witness all!

In the beginning was one

greater than all,

bringing the promise of eternal life,

renewing God’s covenant with mankind.

We did not listen then;

we do not listen now!

O Prophet of prophets. . .

forgive us for our obstinance;

we are your children.

You bring us good news;

You bring us back to God’s Holy Throne;

You forgive us of all sin;

You, O Prophet of prophets. . .

You are our beloved.

I am a retired high school and college professor. The last 10 years of my teaching was as a college professor of literature and writing. I have self-published one book of prayers and meditations and am preparing another book of poetic odes to faith and love. I am truly honored to be welcomed into this group.
