He took her hand and lowered himself to his knees, but the words couldn’t come out. He told himself, “All the practice was for nothing? No way!”
So finally he made up his mind, took out the ring, placed it on her finger, and asked, “Angela, would you marry me?”
It felt as if the entire atmosphere was filled with silence. A long minute passed, both of them looking at each other passionately. And finally, he made up his mind (again), and kissed her. It was a short kiss, but one which would join them forever.
