A Protest To Talent

Ability isn’t an intangible enigma,

Reserved for the blessed few,

An algorithm that can’t be hacked,

By those born without the answer key,

It isn’t beam of sun,

Only enlightening those who

Chance across its way,

Nobody believes your excuses for your ineptitude,

Nobody believes in it except you.

The only thing that validates innate ability,

Is your insistence to believe in it.

You want to be good at something,

But you don’t want to try,

For God’s Sake, don’t say “I’m not artistic.”

You’ll make it true,

Not because you’re not,

You always were,

Because once you do,

You’ll never try,

Your horizons can’t be expanded,

You’ll never think “Maybe I can.”
