Proved Me Wrong

The thought of the impossible

The idea of such happiness

The very action that fills the voids of my heart

Is this real?

If all I’ve ever felt was

Pain

Betrayal

Hurt

Lonlyness

The idea

The action

The feeling

makes slim to no sense

The crushed heart that I behold

Why do you wish to mend it?

Is it my beauty?

Is it my smile?

Is it my body?

No

You’ve displayed a sense of hope in a place where hope no longer existed

The laughs we cherish under the cold wet bench under the dimmed light post

The meeting of our eyes under the clouded night sky

With the dimming stars shining down on us

you’ve proven me wrong

Pain is proven to have no presence in the actions you show me

Hurt is no longer felt in the depths of my stomach that you wrap your very arms around

Loneliness is just a temporary feeling until you come home to me in the warm bed we share

You’ve proven me wrong
