The Psychology of Thought

Not all voices are found equal

Some cohort and congregate

Some expunge and permeate

All have a tag and each have a toll

Many a voice is found with no equal

I’ve heard it said, and more often told

Speakers of the dust

Solidified musts

Individuals playing wisdom perchance they are old

Age miming catholicon and equating foretold

Where no faction is, difference is treason

Shed the flock

Who taught such talk

Where only in likeness can there be reason

This is where voices create their treason

If I could but quiet the rest

Lay them all to sleep

Await their mouths to reap

No more torn and distressed

If my thoughts were left alone just

One voice that of my own

No more implants heralding from afar

No more speakers mixed within to mar

No foreign body exploiting home

If I were but free and my thoughts my own
