Public Service Announcement

Location

He takes his first sip of the bombai dry gin

By the fourth shot his mind is modifying

Brain no longer oxidizing yet he orders another drink so tantalizing

He stands up but stumbles as hes rising

Feels like his head is fighting with his body but his body is tiring

Reaches his car and hes theorizing about driving

Smiling as he turns the key the engines igniting

Pulls out the lot but the lights are blinding

Runs a red light as hes flying

Hits a van splicing the van in half

The family inside is writhing and crying

The father reaches for his wife but time is expiring

The child in the back cries as his body is paralyzing

And as for the man hes on the ground lying

To him the scene is immobilizing

Days pass and each day as hes crying hes realizing the lives he took

Hes in court testifying and sympathizing with the family

But hes crying because he knows a jail cell is where he'll be retiring

Confined to a room deriving why it was him surviving and them dying

Each moment he lives serves as a reminding

Stop drinkin and driving
