Public Speaking

I'm sitting here waiting to speak,

My heart pounds and my body weak.

I am nervous and scared, and worried I will fail

Standing in front of all these people waiting for me to unveil,

My speech on public speaking without missing a beat.

I've tried meditation and therapy in hope to find a way to calm my mind .

As I give my speech to my peers, I look over see my friends and they help ease my fears.I'm near the end with only a few words to say... I get a round of applause and they say "You made it through the day.

I am glad that I was able to complete my speech even though that level of confidence was hard to reach.

I have passed the first text and now it's time to lay my anxiety to rest.
