A Public Symbol

A woman’s lipstick, its hue Bright and flashy, maybe matching her shoes Classy and beautiful A public symbol of nubility. That diamond ring, its shine It’s reflection of light dancing across the ceiling Delicate and prized A public symbol of commitment. The attention drawn is a surface level picture But female maturity is such a gem! And marriage the best gold to obtain Secrets create the stain of her lips, Confused tears form the sparkle of her ring

This is about how people view outside appearances and make them a public symbol, though most of the time an individual regards it as a more personal symbol that hold much more meaning.
