Puddles and Tea

It felt like the kind of day

For tea, poetry, sweaters, and scarfs.

For splashing in puddles and playing guitar.

For missing my family and laughing with friends.

For wishing and daydreams that won't have to end.

The rain that was falling throught the light by the field.

Looked like snow that I wished the sky would soon yield.

So I sat by my window with a blanket and book.

And sketched out some faces in my small cozy nook.

A nice end to the day of puddles and tea.

Just a book and the rain, a pencil and me.
