Pulse

(poems go here) The sound of a hard wooden block Which leaves an echo in the high school parking lot As giggly freshman find their spots Carrying brass and woodwind instruments As the occasional drummer struggles behind They find themselves moving in time Step by step, beat by beat As they march on through the season They find their strength, They find their pulse.
