Pulse

Systolic and distolic rises to it's high

itching and craving for this great success and journey to my life where medicine is what I smell and taste

Distolic and systolic rising high

showing the world that me an African American WILL climb the tree of hard work and dedication

heart rate moving fast

But my mind is at a constant beat with time

beating with the second hand ticking it's way thru each number as I get slick with this rhyme

pulse

pulse

forceful pulse

The pulse of my ambition and drive

the pulse of my creative stride

pulsation of the thump which press against my young tender skin

My pulse is my future

My future begins with me listening to my racing blood filled chamber

of true hopes and dreams in which I seek!!

Listen to your pulse
