Puppet

You think you can control me.

You try and make me something I'm not.

Try and hide my true self
so I can act acceptable,
polite, perfect, like a puppet.

Don't pull on my strings.

I thought you wanted no strings attached.
Even if I didn't...

Go on then!
LEAVE!

Because unlike what you believe
you don't own me,
I won't be controlled,
and I can live without YOU.
