Puppet Master

Puppet master you control me,

but I have no strings.

Press your button and you will see,

me move to a beat not meant for me.

My flow and direction,

are a misconception,

created by someone else.

You reward me for obedience,

obedience forced upon me.

What am I to do,

for its not me its you,

who has a say in everything I do.

Provided with tools,

no boundary or rules,

what is a puppet to do but oblige.

You tell me your helping me,

its just something that I can't see.

It is time to go,

i've put on a good show,

while I may not control my actions

my words are still my own.
