The Puppet Masters
Go left, go right,
go forward and back,
do not stop for you may drop,
the puppet masters mean you well.
You tap your feet,
to a rhythmless beat.
You dance, you sing,
the puppet masters mean you well.
Do what they say,
there is no other way,
do not look back, do not look back
thr puppet masters mean you well.
Wake up, wake up,
you need to flee,
for you have become prisoner,
to the darkness that you see.
The strings jerk tight,
as you fight for a chance to see the light.
As they whisper,
all is swell, the puppet masters mean you well,
you snap right back,
to your act.
Forever bound,
to dance to the theater's sound,
freedom is no option,
for your blood is now filled with the toxin.
Go left, go right,
go forward and back,
you have dropped for you have fought,
what cannot be stopped.
You were a pawn,
in a world that is now gone,
for you believed the puppet masters meant you well.
