Pure

As we grow older

We realize how many friends we have is not important

It is the one who is there through it all.

Who comforts me through troubling times,

And rejoices with me through rewarding times.

One I can trust,

Confide in

Tell my deepest darkest secrets to

My human diary.

I can bear my soul to my friend,

Knowing it will forever be held in a secret lock away

Their wholesome heart

A friend to me is a person I can trust my life with

Love unconditionally

Have their back for they always have mine

A friend who walks beside me not behind me

To talk behind my back to stab me

Mom,

My heart is full every day

To know that you’ll never be more than a footstep away.

Because I love you for you

And you love me for me.

What we have is

Pure
