Pure

Nothing makes me happier than the sound of your footsteps,

My heart bursts from happiness at the sight of your face,

I've been waiting for what has seemed like years to hear your voice,

Even though you left the house this morning in a hurry,

All i wanted to do was say, "goodbye, have a wonderful day,"

But you were rushed and never acknowledged me.

You see, I am only a responsibility to you.

You feed me, bathe me, make sure to clean up my accidents,

I am one of your many chores.

But you, oh my, you are my world.

You are the only person in my life and I love you with everything I have.

I would protect you to the end of the world,

Stay by your side no matter which path you decide to take,

I am loyal, and loving, no matter how hard you may hit me.

No matter what kind of punishment you think I deserve,

My heart is pure and kind.

And I will forget how hateful, and harsh yours is,

Because nothing is more important to me, than you.
