The Pure Things in Life
I'm glad i didn't die that night. That i didn't overdose and stay stuck in the suffocating darkness of the afterlife.
I'm glad i don't miss out on days like these. Where we smoke cigarettes on playground swings spilling everything
our friends; our chosen family. Making memories. Walking through the empty streets, watching the sky fall all around us.
Looking back at our footprints as they dissapear underneath the cold blanket of snow. Laughing so hard it hurts as we tell stories
while playing Tetris at 3 a.m. These nights are one of the few pure things left in this rotten world. Some days i wish i didn't come back.
But days like these are why i'm glad i didn't die alone that night. Days like these are like a breath of fresh air in my despiar ravaged lungs.
