Purifying the Demon
Black-winged demon trying to pass the glass
Staring endlessly
Born with the Devil's wings
That only her self could see
They blocked the path that linked her
To her consciousness
For years she caused people misery
It's all just a blur
When she woke up she was
On one side of a glass wall
People pass the barrier she's trapped behind
Nobody gives a damn, they only knew peace
As chains impale her wings she could only stare in her envy
As she makes plans to escape
To their side
Black-winged demon, with one hand on the glass
"I must make a sacrifice in order to leave."
One-winged demon is only partially free
But she was still held back by her blood and chains
"I guess that's not enough for me to pass..."
The people stop to watch
Her struggle with her poisoned sins
Even so they do not make
A move to help
Think them heartless but
She herself lacks one heart of her own
So she doesn't mind carrying
Her heavy load on her own
But they watch at her with their unbearably frozen eyes
Why can't they move on like they always had before she was imprisoned?
Frustration and anger at their cruel faces staring at her
"What is it gonna take to get them to leave me the heck alone?"
Curse the
One-winged demon, double-checking her choice
It hurts to breathe, it hurts to move, but she will keep pressing on
Wingless demon, held by one chain to the back
On the brink of final rest
"Would they even care if I rejoined them?
If I pass, would I lose myself?
I lost my wings for nothing
Because I will turn back now
After all I have yet
To explore my world!"
Wingless demon, now purified of her sins
Abandoned the other side for the exile she's in
All-new person, ready to go to her home
To find the people she'd come to love
To find the family she desired
To put her mark on the world where she could be herself
And no one else
