Purpose
As I ponder of some thing
That I could never live without
One thing for certain comes to
Mind - indeed, there is no doubt.
It's this little thing called purpose.
Yes, it composes me
For purpose has a purpose,
Purpose sets me free.
What is life without reason?
Without striving for something more?
A life without reason is the same
As an infinitely closed door.
Behind the children's laughter
Beyond the deep blue sea
Above the creeping shadows
Forget the buzzing of the bee.
A life without purpose
Is a life without meaning
Absolute oblivion.
