Purpose

Look, look at the fire burning Climbing pillars, corroding Marble that you're staining, staining The death of a million prayers Started through your careless Bloodless whispers The devil's smile hides beneath heat Compensating for emptiness and smoldering defeat A broken twig now was once a towering achievement But you drew that blade and, there Fallen, broken, weeping An emblem, a light Darkened and cursing your name Yet you smile and laugh Audacious jubilation, you're tough Though such outward evil Paints a blank canvas wicked Innocence is not betrayed You're scared, alone Though you had a choice of several paths You chose the one characteristically red Disseminating your sadness whenever mad You became the fire that jumped the wick And so, though you are tall and radiant now A rain storm approaches, karmic in purpose Turn, repent, or face the wrath you've conjured
