Purpose

A restless soul wandered a lonely path

with her raggedy doll and a brain fart

she walked aimless and talked wordlessly

she was fervently searching thoughtlessly

she knew not what she sought

but faith she had if she ever saw

so she carried on for twenty years and three

stopping now and then only for a wee

In her search she met an actor, a storyteller and a man of the law

she loved the movies, adored the stories and in law, she was in awe

Alas, they never answered her ever growing questions

thus she pushed on, craving some real action

She went forward and onward

till she was worn out and awkward

finally she perched at the other side of earth

desperate, destitute and near death

crying to her maker for answers

she yelled, "what is my purpose in life my master?'

"Why am I alive?"

"why is my life fraught with so much strife?"

It has been twenty years and three

so I guess nothing comes for free

not even an answer from the grand-master
