The Purpose at My Fingertips

With this pen I am warrior

With this pen I slay dragons, demons and bigots alike

I am warrior

And with this pen I write.

I am a poet:

Defender against all evil,

Writer of all wrongs

With this pen I am more ally than the UK

And more advocate than all support groups combined.

The average poet carries the weight of sorrow on her back

And a star on her chest.

I am here to protect and serve when the police do not.

I am here to deflect all bibles the church may throw

I am here to give a voice to those living in darkness and turmoil.

I am here to take a stand.

I am here to fight.

And with this pen I will always win.
