Purpose of My Poems

Poems, power of persuasion

Pencils, tools of expression writ

Paper, the canvas of passion

Inspiration, write as seen fit

I wonder, ponder what to say

Expanses, mind and spirit free

Wander to what will speak and sway

Searching for the elusive key

Write, bring color to a world bleak

Speak, encourage those around you

In a realm of sames, be unique

Striving, be true in all you do

I write to fight the deadly lie

That there is no hope when we die

I tell 'em 'bout Christ in the sky

And how He died for you and I
