Purpose of Poetry

Words are used as my greatest weapons

Or as my daughting cries for help

They are composed in harmonies that tell my stories

And as I introduce words to poetry

I see it feed into the life works of

Voices that are louder than myself

Poetry helped me see more

Than what's right in front of me

I see in between the line

Outside the box

I hear the life of another person

The gateway of healed scars

Poetry are stories being told
