Pushed

They see dark clothing and piercings,

but not the smile that graces her lips

at the sight of a baby animal.

They hear loud music and sad lyrics,

but will never understand

the deep meaning of those words.

They judge her apperance,

not her mind.

Their whispered criticisms

screaming in her ears

drowning out

the praise of others.

She fell from this world the other day,

they said she jumped.

I say they pushed.
