Puzzle

I wish everything didn't look the same to me. Movies, music, television, and so much more. I can hardly tell a difference in any medium. I wish I knew how to spot the difference better. I see so many vivid descriptions About things that seem ordinary to me. I cannot understand how and why they are What people say they are. I am supposed to attach to so much But I sometimes get uncomfortable Especially with things I am supposed To be easily comfortable with. Still I am moved by so much Whether it is by inspiring groundbreakers Or little acts of kindness. My apathy is intense like the sun. It has cost me bare necessities Like company and income. I know how to avoid it But it somehow attaches to me And bogs me down And I might know why. Because I am consumed by impossible fantasies All of which give me everything I ever wanted With some originating in a time That I couldn't possibly imagine And I relish in the impossible. But these dreams are fake And like all dreams, they must end. The world offers so much promise for me. I must go out and take it for myself. But to do that, I must put together my own life Scattered into so many puzzle pieces like my brain. But I'm a sucker for a good puzzle.
