Puzzle of Life

Everyone breaks,

sometimes life gets to be too much.

As you grow up,

trying to fit the pieces of life’s puzzle in the right places,

pieces are misplaced, broken, and bruised.

Pieces get cut, shattered, and bent.

And it hurts.

It hurts like hell

and it feels like nothing will work,

like nothing can make it better,

can heal your pain.

But those feelings,

feelings of being alone,

of being broken beyond repair,

they are just illusions.

There is Someone.

He was always there,

always will be,

and He wants you to turn to Him.

It’s not easy,

trusting anyone,

not after so much pain.

But it’s needed.

It’s the only way to healing.

Once He has you in His hands,

He’s gonna move pieces.

Those pieces you thought were in the right place,

nope, He moves them,

switches them around,

and YES it will hurt.

It will pull and pry.

But it has to be fixed

and He knows that.

For a while it may even hurt more.

But wait that pain out.

When the pieces are in the right places,

bruises will heal.

Cuts will fade,

fade into light scars.

Shattered pieces are made whole.

Broken pieces glues back together.

Bends start to straighten out.

Before you know it,

He has transformed you.

The once throbbing, blaring pain

is now just little poke, maybe a pinch.

It’s healing.

And eventually the pain slowly disappears.

Yes, the scars are still present.

They always will be.

But that is a newfound beauty.

Knowing God loved you enough,

cared for you enough,

was always there.

He took your broken life

and made something beautiful.

The scars remind you of how far you came,

of how much He cared,

and of how much He loved.

And that in itself is beauty beyond compare.

They will never let you forget

the One who helped you recover

from something that seemed too big to ever get over.

But your pieces are now in place

and you are now thriving.

All because of Him.

All for Him.

One of the most important ideas in my life is that nothing can happen in my life that God can't heal.
