PUZZLE THAT WAS YOU

There was never any reason

you never left a clue

all you left behind

was a puzzle that was you

Broken pieces lay before me

in piles on the floor

and everytime I think one fits

another piece is tore

and everyday I try and find

some sort of small good bye

and every noight you haunt my dreams

no thought to reason why

How could someone find themselves

in all of this despair

you never really know how hard it is

till no ones left to care

So leave with me the sadness

of a puzzle left undone

and I will see the pieces fit

slowly one by one
