Qualia of a Walk

Quintessential to feed brilliance
is a walk inside one’s sphere.
It is a mirror that lets you in
on how one looks on the outside.
but never how they are from inside.

Ubiquitous are your eyes and thoughts
as you watch me head down the road.
You wonder where am going
and so you follow me with your eyes.

Allure is something defined by what I wear.
My demeanor is all you care to comment on.
Should I swear, you’d just stare.
How can you understand what is ineffable?

Lovely is my refuge within my blank gaze
as you fade away with your friends to distance.
As I pick up my pace I block you out
like noise disrupting my intrinsic experience.

Influential is something far
from what your opinion is.
Your eyes say more than your lips
but my mind consciously ignores you.

Accomplished is my feeling when
I’m finally left alone with my thoughts.
And so I stride with my expressionless face
for stiff is my daily GIF from my world of reprieve.

My walk is a qualia of a momentary reality
something so odd to your comprehension
of what a daily struggle is as it circumscribes
a lifetime of harassment within a few seconds!

Poetry is a form of passionate expression kindled by an impression unbound by public conviction. I write mainly from two genres : impressionism and symbolism. Choose me or leave me, I'm not a backup plan and definitely not a second choice! Not everyone likes me but then again not everyone matters. What matters is peace and the feeling of being content. Every person is a book, this is just the place to share some pages from my book. Peace!
