The Quality of a Person
I firmly believe that the quality of people
make the biggest difference in any experience.
Having thrived in communities,
where community and mentorship are shared values;
I am eager to enroll in college,
where helping each other learn and grow is the common goal.
Mentorship played a critical role
in my development and success,
both learning from mentors,
and learning how to be a mentor to someone else.
I have developed an array of leadership skills
and a wealth of knowledge
from a variety of challenging experiences.
I will be eager to contribute my knowledge
and fulfill my desire to lead.
While in the classroom,
I look forward to encouraging
and supporting my peers,
as I have my whole life
in school and extracurricular activities.
I am a naturally positive individual,
and I have seen how powerful reaching out to others
with kindness and compassion can be.
I developed a lasting relationship with a young boy with autism,
and he taught me the importance of kind words as I mentored him.
I am eager to pursue my career goals
and do my part to advocate for each individual
on the campus of my choice.
I know I will be an asset to whichever college I choose,
and I am ecstatic to prove my worth.
