Qualms

There is a word for this and a word for that.

A dozen ways to say scat and a hundred words to describe a hat.

But I cannot find a word for what I am feeling.

This never ending sadness, this confusing greyness that has sent my world reeling.

Is it Despair, Denial, Disquiet, Defeat?

None of these words make my heart skip a beat.

Perhaps a phrase, "Oh, the invisible oblivion",  "Dear melancholy plight"?

Neither makes the bulb go bright.

Millions of words, but in this case, none worth noting.

The great Nothing of the Universe leans back in his chair, gloating.

Hey, perhaps that's something.

Maybe the word I am looking for is, "Nothing".
